How to Split a Receipt

Do my friends need the app?

To see a split in their own account, yes. When you split with a contact who uses Manage Receipt, the split appears in their app with their share and the receipt attached.

How is tax and tip split?

Tax, tip and other charges are spread across the split with the items, so each person's share reflects the full bill.

Can I split a receipt by item?

Yes. Assign each item on the receipt to the person who ordered it. You can also split evenly, by a set amount or by percentage.

Can I split in different currencies?

Yes. Scan a receipt in another currency and Manage Receipt converts it to your home currency while keeping the original amount, then split it as usual.

Can I split on the web?

Yes. Splits work in the iPhone and Android apps and in the web app, under the same account.

How do I settle up?

When someone pays you back, mark the split as settled. Balances update in real time and the settlement history stays in the app.
